P.O.G. = Paul Otis Goble: Paul Goble was a beloved long time track coach for Morristown High School. This event benefits the Morristown Boys and Girls Cross Country and Track Teams and the Paul O. Goble Memorial Scholarship!
Derby Days Festival: Come join us for the nicest day in small town Indiana! The World Famous Kopper Kettle Inn Restaurant sponsors the P.O.G. run and provides beer, wings, cookies and fruit in their beautiful out door garden dining area after the race! Kick back and relax!
11:00 is the Derby Days parade if you have time to stick around!
Awards:
Awards Ceremony at apprx. 10:00 a.m. in the Kopper Kettle Garden
1st - 3rd Place Male/Female - Overall Age group awards to 1st-3rd place: 19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 & over.
Course: Flat out and back course. The entire run/walk is on pavement and travels out to the Morristown Cemetery, does a small loop in the cemetery and comes back in to town. Course is closed to traffic during the event and provides 3 water stops.
Registration: Registration opens at 6:30 a.m. in the Morristown Jr. Sr. High School located at 215 W. Main Street, Morristown, Indiana. Just off Highway 52.
Results: Full results and LOTS of pictures will be posted on line the day of the event.
This is not an official race walk event. Walkers are started with the runners and timed with them as well.
